Digital privacy moves from Apple and Google are forcing the advertising industry to reconsider the way it works, Publicis Groupe’s Maurice Levy told CNBC.

The chairman of the world’s third-biggest advertising company said changes to Apple’s iOS smartphone software and Google’s Chrome web browser meant advertisers were having to “revisit the whole way we are working.”

Apple Wants to Control Your Universe

AS: I think people would be genuinely disturbed about how much of Gadget Labs technical support is, “Have you tried turning it on and off again? Off and then on. Try it again. Just do it again, mom. It’s fine.”

MC: Log out, log back in. Restart.

Apple is turning privacy into a business advantage

Apple unveiled new versions of its operating systems on Monday which showed that the company’s focus on privacy has taken a new turn. It’s not just a corporate ideal or a marketing point anymore. The report will display when an app has gained access to sensitive parts of the device, such as the photo album, contacts list or microphone. Google announced a similar feature for

As we reach the 11th hour for WWDC speculation comes hints Apple may at last make smarthomes — and by extension, smart offices, warehouses or anything else with smart devices — better with a homeOS to bring the disparate strands of its current strategy together.

‘iOS, watchOS, tvOS and homeOS’

This is what was suggested in a recruitment ad posted to the company’s website, which mentioned a homeOS system for the first time (before the ad was revised to drop the reference).

The original job listing for a Senior iOS Engineer for the Apple Music team (spotted by
