Andy Jassy, Amazon’s  (AMZN) – Get Report next chief executive, reportedly affirmed his commitment to making videogames, while acknowledging the difficulties his team has encountered.

Jassy, who in the third quarter is set to succeed Jeff Bezos at the helm of the Seattle tech and online-retail giant, expressed support for Mike Frazzini, the head of Amazon Game Studios, Bloomberg reported, citing a staff email.

SAN RAMON, Calif. (AP) — Google’s digital advertising empire is regaining the momentum it lost during the pandemic’s early stages as its YouTube video service matures into a major marketing magnet and other companies pour more into promotions aimed at cooped-up consumers with money to spend.

John Matze, the CEO and co-founder of social media platform Parler, said in a LinkedIn post Wednesday that he’s been fired by the company’s board. Matze’s termination came just weeks after Parler, which had become a haven for racist and right-wing extremist content, was forced offline for allowing posts about the Capitol Hill insurrection. HubSpot to acquire business media company The Hustle

Cambridge marketing software firm HubSpot said on Wednesday that it will acquire The Hustle, a media company focused on business news and insights, to enhance the type of content it offers.

Kieran Flanagan, the senior vice president of marketing at HubSpot, said in a press release that HubSpot’s clients have been seeking new mediums for consuming information.

The Hustle is known for its “old school, inbox-cluttering freakin’ ” e-mail newsletter, which delivers catchy business news to young professionals. The newsletter reaches more than 1.5 million readers daily. The company was founded in 2014 in San Francisco.

An Amazon veteran who helped the tech giant take on the explosion in e-commerce retail deliveries is striking out on his own to tackle the challenge. Seattle-based startup Pandion announced Wednesday that it has emerged from stealth mode and raised $4.9 million in seed funding.

Founder and CEO Scott Ruffin, a onetime logistics captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, has over 20 years of experience in logistics. He was the founder and head of Amazon Air for almost five years and most recently was vice president and head of Walmart’s e-commerce transportation division.
