AN insurance company in Taunton is expanding their campaign to help fund computer equipment in schools.
A-Plan insurance launched an IT for Schools campaign to help raise money for Parent Teacher Associations (PTA’s) at local schools.
Due to the pandemic, many schools PTA’s have been unable to host events such as fetes and cake sales. And so children may be missing out on computer-based education activities that would normally be available via a school PTA.
And so A-Plan decided to support the PTA’s with their IT campaign.
At the start of April, they made the decision to donate £50 to a clients preferred school or PTA when they call for an insurance quote and mention ‘IT for Schools’.
Andy Reid, A-Plan’s Taunton branch manager, said: “Being part of the local community has always been at the heart of what we do here at A Plan, and it is now more important than ever.
“That’s why the team and I are delighted to be supporting the IT for School’s campaign to help education in the area.
“These are challenging times for schools, parents, and pupils.
“Our hope is that this will go some way to offering schools some incredibly valuable additional support at a time when they need it most.
“We want to spread this message throughout the area because the more people that know, the more we can donate.
“And it’s a real win win situation for a local business and its community.
“As we could help local people save money on their insurance and get good quality insurance advice at the same time as contributing to a very good cause.”
A-Plan provide customers with a ‘personalised way’ of arranging car, van, home, travel or business insurance.
They are an alternative to online insurance sites and insurance cover can be arranged over the phone.
